The collection of Studio Quasi consists of Functionals and Unfunctionals: tableware and vases and objects that often refer to traditional tableware but where practical limitations have been abandoned.

UNFUNCTIONALS

With the Unfunctionals, all restrictions that consumer goods normally impose on the maker are removed: they do not have to be convenient to use. Things don’t have to be waterproof, food safe, hygienic or practical. Vases that cannot hold water, jugs with unnecessary ornaments that interfere with pouring or bowls that only fit 1 piece of fruit. Sometimes the work questions the position/status of functionality or it creates a very particular functionality.

The Unfunctionals are unique pieces and cannot be made to order. But if you are interested in something specific or custom made, please do not hesitate to send an email.
